Partnership with Schmidt Ocean Institute

RV Falkor, which is currently operating in the Pacific Ocean, will utilise OmniAccess’ ground equipment and SES’s geo-stationery satellite, to stream live video from its remotely operated vehicles (ROV’s), working thousands of meters below the ocean’s surface, to classrooms and scientists around the globe, as well as realtime streaming of events. The captured ROV data is uplinked to our satellite, operating several Km’s above the oceans surface, and then downlinked in realtime back to Schmidt Ocean Institute website and data archives.
